On Our Horizon

Our goal is to ensure that each step in a cancer patient's journey is convenient and as comfortable as possible. We will transport patients and caregivers. We will partner with various trained individuals and reputable companies to provide service with excellence.

Our Founder

F. Ruth Grier believes that all cancer patients deserve comfort and relief. As a cancer survivor, and with extensive experience in ministry, she developed a burning desire to aid in fulfilling this need. With that, she is passionate about others need to have a devoted and reliable caretaker. The foundation of Care Free Transportation (CFT) is built upon this.

The quality and traits of her husband, John, who was her caretaker, helped advance CFT. Patience, compassion, attentiveness, dependability and trustworthiness were John personified during F. Ruth’s bout with cancer. Becoming familiar with the side effects of the chemotherapy procedures, he was encouraging throughout every treatment. Awareness was developed to be patient with his wife through her battle and with himself as well.

This laid the foundation for the service and attitude of each employee—instilling a positive driving force in and around our community. The ability to understand what a person is going through shows empathy. In turn, it creates a willingness to help others. Our staff is both empathetic and possesses the willingness to serve others.

A high work ethic standard is set for CFT. It is committed to serving the community, while genuinely caring for the wellbeing of others.
